Well...I am now. Twenty three that is. That particular anniversary of the day I was born was March 27th. It also happened to be my sister's particular type of anniversary that day also. She's a bit older than me though. Instead of the same dinner and a movie we do every year for every special thing we actually changed it up a little this. *GASP* We went on a double date with some friends of ours...and *double gasp...heart attack about to happen* my mother deigned to watch the kids for a few hours that night. Mind you, we did, of course, have a curfew, but I'm a little bit older than Cinderella so I had until the clock struck one. We did do the dinner thing, which was really good. Then we spent three hours bowling. Had an absolute blast! I hadn't picked up a bowling ball since I was 14. I somehow managed to win one of the games, but for the most part it was just fun. So that went well...
(oh yeah...that delightful boss of mine baked me a HUGE cake but he sprinkled coconut flakes on top so I gave the whole thing to another friend of mine...shhhhh, cause that's just awkward)

More recently........... Saturday was my last day of work for the year. Happy that I get to stay home now and don't have to listen to the kids tell me (whine)"I don't want you to go to work mommy!". No more having to tell people that don't have any money that they owe the IRS. These are all good things and I really am relieved that I don't have to deal with the crap that goes on there and all the crazy people in Walmart. As with every good thing though...there is that small downside of no longer getting that paycheck, no matter how small that paycheck was.


I just, very painfully, spent almost $750 on my kids' new school curriculum for the year. It should be here this week. I'm gonna be pissed if it's not all that great....but you gotta try it to find out I guess, and I can't really claim that I'm homeschooling them if I don't have anything to teach them.
